Woven carbon over soft EVA: where that touch comes from

The face carries a layer of woven carbon placed strategically, with fibreglass doing the work in the frame. This isn't built to fire the ball back like a spring: the carbon gives you a defined, readable response, while the fibreglass softens the exit on off-centre hits.

Who is the Wilson Pro Staff V2 actually for?

An intermediate player will enjoy it in defence and at the net, but may get frustrated expecting the racket to finish points for them. Here, points are won through placement and spin, not ball speed.

Shot by shot: where it shines and where it falls short

Wall exit. Home turf. The low-mid balance lets you reset the face late with the ball right on top of you, and the soft rubber sends it back deep without needing extra pace.

Yes, but through accumulation, not magic. The rough carbon surface grips the ball and the engineered holes sustain that grip through contact. The effect shows up if you play the full stroke: on a cut bandeja or a vibora it translates into a low, dead bounce; on a short wrist flick, barely at all.
